PROFILE

Matthew A. Schneider is an entrepreneur, researcher, and international speaker whose work spans real estate digitalization, financial market infrastructure, and emerging digital asset frameworks. Since the last 2010s, he has been deeply involved in the practical and institutional challenges of bringing Real World Assets into modern financial and data systems, with sustained focus on valuation, compliance, and governance rather than speculative applications. His experience combines company building, applied research, and public engagement across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, positioning him as a practitioner who operates between theory, policy, and implementation.

Over the past several years, Matthew has contributed to industry dialogue on real estate tokenization, programmable compliance, and the role of high-quality asset data in regulated markets. He has participated in and spoken at numerous international technology, fintech, and real estate forums, and has worked closely with asset owners, developers, legal professionals, and infrastructure providers on the structural prerequisites for institutional adoption. His background reflects a long-term engagement with how buildings evolve into auditable, finance-ready assets within existing legal and supervisory frameworks.

#### President and CEO, Building Proptech, Inc ◦ United States ◦ 2024-Present

Matthew founded Building to address a recurring constraint he encountered across real estate and tokenization initiatives: the lack of consistent, verifiable, and institution-grade asset data. As President and CEO, he leads the company’s research direction and product strategy, focusing on how property information is structured, validated, and maintained so it can support valuation processes, regulatory requirements, and downstream financial use cases, including tokenization. His work emphasizes auditability, source attribution, and data continuity as prerequisites for trust in both traditional and digitally enabled markets.

At Building, Matthew has overseen the development of frameworks and systems designed to translate real-world legal, valuation, and compliance requirements into digital workflows without bypassing existing governance structures. The company’s work is positioned as infrastructure rather than product-led innovation, supporting long-term institutional participation by improving data quality and reducing ambiguity at the asset level. In parallel, he represents Building in policy-oriented discussions, industry working groups, and international conferences, contributing a practitioner’s perspective on how programmable compliance and real-world data integrity enable new financial instruments while preserving regulatory oversight.

#### Board of Directors, FIBREE ◦ Netherlands ◦ 2025-Present

Matthew serves on the Board of Directors of FIBREE (Foundation for International Blockchain and Real Estate Expertise), a global, standards-oriented organization with special consultative status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council. In this role, he contributes to the organization’s strategic direction, institutional positioning, and external engagement with regulators, financial institutions, and industry participants.

In parallel, he is actively involved in FIBREE’s 2026 growth and exposure initiatives, focused on expanding global participation and strengthening the visibility and credibility of its research and standards work. A key area of contribution includes the development of a proposed “quality label” concept designed to distinguish credible, data-driven real estate and tokenization initiatives through criteria centered on data integrity, valuation discipline, governance, and auditability.

#### Corporate Member, FIBREE ◦ Netherlands ◦ 2024-2025

Since 2020, Matthew has contributed to FIBREE as a researcher and educator, participating in industry research, reports, and educational initiatives examining real estate digitalization, tokenization readiness, and institutional reporting standards. His work has focused on aligning emerging digital asset frameworks with existing legal, regulatory, and market infrastructure, supporting informed dialogue across public and private sectors.

#### Strategic Advisor, StatePay ◦ United States ◦ 2026-Present

Matthew advises StatePay, a GovTech infrastructure initiative focused on modernizing public finance through tokenization and transparent digital systems. His role centers on system architecture, market positioning, and the application of real-world asset infrastructure to government incentive programs and public-sector financing. He contributes expertise in data verification, programmable compliance, and institutional-grade digital asset frameworks to support greater transparency and efficiency in how public funds are allocated, tracked, and reported.

#### Organizing Committee Chairman, ISTA ◦ South Korea ◦ 2025-Present

Matthew serves as Organizing Committee Chair for ISTA’s South Korea initiatives, contributing to industry dialogue on the regulatory and market infrastructure required for security tokens and tokenized real-world assets. His involvement focuses on facilitating structured discussion between market participants, legal experts, and technology providers around standardization, compliance considerations, and institutional readiness, rather than product promotion or issuance activity.

#### Founding Member, WBBC ◦ United States ◦ 2024-2025

Matthew served as a founding member of the Wisconsin Blockchain Business Council, a regional industry group focused on education and stakeholder engagement around blockchain policy and adoption. His involvement reflected early participation in industry coordination and public-private dialogue at the state level prior to his expanded focus on international standards and institutional frameworks.

#### Co-Founder, e-States ◦ United States ◦ 2021-2024

Matthew co-founded e-States as an early exploration into the application of digital asset structures to real estate ownership and financing. Through this work, he gained direct exposure to the legal, valuation, and data challenges that limit institutional adoption of tokenized real-world assets. The experience informed his subsequent focus on infrastructure-level solutions, particularly the role of data quality, compliance alignment, and auditability in enabling regulated market participation.
